An analytics and journaling desk for self-directed options traders. This video covers what the platform computes for you, and the lines it deliberately does not cross: it is not a broker, not an investment adviser, and it decides nothing. You connect your own brokerage account, bring your own market data, and make every decision yourself.
Play What Options Scanner is, and what it is not. The video loads from YouTube only when you press play, so nothing is requested from them before that.

Options Scanner is an analytics and journaling desk for self-directed options traders. In the next two minutes I want to be precise about two things: what this platform does for you, and what it deliberately does not do. The second part matters more than the first.
It scans your universe and scores what it finds. It reads the options chain and builds the volatility surface: term structure, skew, and where implied volatility sits against its own history. It scores every expiration, grades setups from A to F, and shows you the drivers behind each number rather than just the number. It tracks earnings from SEC filings, and it keeps a journal of every trade with the context you had when you entered it.
Here is what it is not. It is not a broker. It does not hold your money, and it never touches your funds. It is not an investment adviser, and nothing it produces is a recommendation or personalized advice. It does not decide anything. The platform describes, computes, and scores. You conclude, and you decide. Every order in this product is placed at your direction, in your own account, at your own brokerage.
That shapes how the whole thing is built. You connect your own brokerage account, and you bring your own market data entitlements. The analysis you see is computed from the feed you are already paying for, which is why the numbers on your screen match the numbers at your broker. You can see exactly which providers power which surface, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.
There is an automation layer, and it is off until you turn it on. It starts in shadow mode, where it logs what it would have done and submits nothing. When you do enable it, it proposes: each candidate arrives as an approval card that explains the setup and then waits for you. Every gate it applies is a rule you configured, every rejection is logged with its reason, and a kill switch stops new activity immediately. One rule outranks all of them: protections can stop new activity, but they can never trap a position you already have open.
If you are starting out, the next video connects your brokerage account, and the one after that walks through the briefing you land on every morning. Everything in the Learn library is free to read and does not need an account. Options Scanner is operated by Avenix Solutions LLC. It is not a broker-dealer and not an investment adviser, and it never holds customer funds. Options involve risk and are not suitable for every investor. Thanks for watching.
