About Options Scanner

By Rohan Fernandes, Founder · Updated 2026-08-21 · Educational reference, not investment advice

What is Options Scanner?

Options Scanner is an analytics dashboard for options traders. It scans a stock universe for technical signals, analyzes options chains with a Black-Scholes greeks engine, scores expirations, screens defined-risk spread structures against rule-based entry criteria, and monitors open positions against the exit rules the user configured. An AI assistant explains what is on screen; deterministic rules produce every number it explains.

Who builds it?

Options Scanner is operated by Avenix Solutions LLC and built by Rohan Fernandes, the founder. The engineering is AI-assisted and developed under the founder's direction and review. Questions and feedback reach the team at support@optionscanner.ai.

What it deliberately is not

Options Scanner is not a broker-dealer and not a registered investment adviser. It does not open, hold, or maintain brokerage accounts; a user links their own brokerage account, and that link is revocable by the user at any time. The software describes what its rules found in market data. Every trading decision belongs to the person reading the screen.

Why publish the methodology?

The measures on these pages, such as IV rank, volatility risk premium, and probability of profit, are only useful to a reader who understands what they measure and where they mislead. The Learn library documents the same methodology the software uses, including its limits, so readers can judge the numbers instead of trusting them blindly.

Educational reference. Options Scanner is a software tool. It is not a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, or a fiduciary, and nothing on this page is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Options involve risk and are not suitable for every investor; read the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options before trading. Examples use hypothetical numbers for illustration only.
