How paper trading works in Options Scanner: logging a trade in one click with its entry context attached, live repricing on open rows, and the effectiveness breakdown on closed rows that shows which part of the toolchain is producing your results.
Play Paper trade it first, and journal it. The video loads from YouTube only when you press play, so nothing is requested from them before that.

Before you put money behind anything in this platform, log it as a paper trade for a few weeks. Not because paper trading teaches you how it feels to lose money, it does not. Because it builds the only dataset that matters here: a record of which parts of this toolchain actually work for the way you trade.
You can log a paper trade from Conviction, from the trade plan, from the scanner, or from the overnight scan, in one click. The row arrives already carrying the context you had at entry: the strikes, the credit or debit, the IV rank at the time, the underlying price, the expiry, days to expiration, and the conviction grade the engine gave it. You are not retyping any of that, and that is deliberate. Context you have to retype is context you stop recording.
The journal splits four ways: open and closed, paper and real. Paper and real records never mix anywhere in this product, and every analysis in the journal is scoped to the sub-tab you are on. Your paper experiments cannot quietly contaminate the read on your real trading.
Open paper rows are repriced from the live option chain every minute, so a paper position moves the way the real one would have. You get the current mark, how far it has travelled toward max profit, and days remaining. If a row cannot be priced it says so rather than showing you a zero.
Closed paper is where the value is. It groups your finished trades four ways: by which tab the idea came from, by strategy, by the conviction grade at entry, and by ticker. That first one is unusual and it is the most useful. It tells you which surface in this app is actually producing your winners, which is a question most traders never get to ask.
Give it a few weeks and a few dozen rows before you draw conclusions from it. Options Scanner is operated by Avenix Solutions LLC. It is not a broker-dealer and not an investment adviser, and it never holds customer funds. Options involve risk and are not suitable for every investor. Thanks for watching.
