Market Chameleon is an options analytics and data site. Its strength is depth of data per ticker: implied-volatility history and rank, earnings move history against what the options priced, option-strategy backtest style statistics, and a wide catalog of screeners over the whole market. The question it answers is "what do the numbers say about this name and this event?"
Optionscanner covers a narrower set of analytics and ties them into a decision workflow: screen against criteria you can edit, grade the setup, build the trade on a chart with its probability cone, check positions against exit rules you adopt, and run a paper-first agent under those rules. The question it answers is "what would I do with these numbers, by my rules, and can I see the arithmetic?"
Both compute implied-volatility rank, expected move, skew and earnings context, and both have option screeners. Market Chameleon shows more of these numbers for more names; Optionscanner shows fewer numbers and asks what each one means for a specific trade.
A trader who wants to study a name or an event in depth, compare history and export data will find Market Chameleon closer to that need. A trader who has a written process and wants software to run it, record it and monitor the results will find Optionscanner closer. Some traders research in one and execute their process in the other.
More statistics do not by themselves produce a decision, and historical option statistics describe a past regime. A rules engine can only be as good as the rules it is given. Neither product is a source of investment advice, and both leave the decision to the trader.
