Earnings This Week: Dates From SEC Filings

By Rohan Fernandes, Founder, Optionscanner · Updated 2026-09-22 · Educational reference, not investment advice

This calendar lists the companies in Optionscanner's tracked universe that report earnings in the current week and the next, with the session (before the open or after the close) where the company's filing history establishes one. Every date comes from SEC EDGAR: past prints are the 8-K filings that carry Item 2.02, the legally mandated results disclosure; a future date is estimated from the company's own reporting cadence and carries a window, and it is marked confirmed only when an 8-K announcing the call date has been filed. There are no consensus estimates here, because filings do not contain them, and no expected move, because that belongs to the options chain, not the calendar.

The universe is the tracked liquid set the app scans (S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 liquid subsets plus names users have looked up), not every US listing. Foreign private issuers that file 6-K rather than 8-K are covered through a separate full-text search of their results filings and appear only where that search resolved a date.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these earnings dates come from?

From SEC EDGAR filings. A company's past reports are the 8-K filings carrying Item 2.02, the results disclosure the law requires; the next date is projected from that history, and it is marked confirmed only when an 8-K announcing the earnings call date has been filed.

What does an estimated date mean, and how wide is the window?

Companies report the same fiscal quarter within a few days of the same date each year, so the estimate is the cadence over the company's own filings. The window shown is the range that history supports; a first-time or irregular reporter carries a wider window or no date at all.

Why is a company I expected not on the list?

Three usual reasons: it is outside the tracked liquid universe, it reports on a 6-K as a foreign private issuer and its results filing could not be matched, or its history does not support a date and the calendar says unknown rather than guessing.

How often does the calendar refresh?

The store rebuilds each weekday morning from the SEC's nightly bulk data, and an intraday watch reads new 8-K filings during the session, so a print that lands is marked reported the same day.

How this page is built: from the SEC EDGAR filing store the platform maintains, read as published each weekday morning. Dates are estimated unless a filing confirms them. This is a calendar of public filings, not advice about what to trade.
